About a month back, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition was announced by Bioware to be in the works. Now other then the announcement of it being the works, not much else has been known. Until now. Some concept art has been released and it seems to be a promising step up from Dragon Age:

Dragon Age III: Inquisition was announced last month with very little information. We now have some concept art, but we’re still short on details. Even the blog post featuring the art on BioWare’s website is completely free of text.

In any case, it’s all very pretty, and Dragon Age-y. Dragon Age III: Inquisition is set for release sometime next year. You can check out all three concept art pieces below.

Bioware has also stated that they are looking in on Skyrim’s success to gain some inspiration. So perhaps this is the Dragon Age game that the fans have been waiting for.

LJS1678 says, “For hiding? I would say the colosseum and for hunting the rooftops.”

KiNgOfThEjEwS says,”Hiding is definitely the Cathedral with the pillars. Hunting is starting at the back of the level where you have 2 lifts, 1 Directly in front of you and 1 to your right a little distance..”

Wabashop says,

“I believe The Pantheon to be the best place for stealth defensive gameplay in the entire game. In terms of defense, The Pantheon provides the most advantage with its gigantic pillars, and an all around complete of whats around you. Once hidden in The Pantheon, you basically have a view of all NPCs that are walking in the general area. As for hunting, I’d have to go with one of the spots you spawn in at the hay bale right near the Pantheon. This spot is great because most of the time, the opposing team will spawn there for defense, usually the team stays there to hide, due to all the blending opportunities.”

april2011,

“Personally when hiding I prefer the far corner of the map where the hay bale is, which also has a chase breaker on two other sides which is great for escaping. As far as hunting the roof tops are the best way to hunt.”

2. With the new abilities released in ACR, has this changed your hunting or hiding grounds in Rome? Why?

KiNgOfThEjEwS says, “No, because with hiding the object is always to bring your pursuer down to your level as best as possible, staying away from roofs are essential.”

LJS1678 says, “No not at all if anything it helps to use new tactics for both offense and defense.”

april2011,

“For me it has, with the tripwire at hand I can hide in open places easily knowing someone could get caught in it. As far as hunting goes, ACR brings a longer lasting disguise which is great for me and allows for me to walk around longer without being noticed. This can be a huge advantage.”

Wabashop,

“Not at all actually. Since I was so used to playing Rome on ACB, everything felt natural. Defending mainly at the pantheon, or the market place in the center felt the exact same in terms of strong defense. So I did not really need to change any my spots up because, I’m just so used to Rome.”

3. Rome has many roofs and few enclosed hiding places. Is this better for your defense or offense? Does it matter if your playing in ACB or ACR?

LJS1678 says, “You have to be more cautious because the rooftops especially in defense but when playing offense it can be used to your advantage. It doesn’t matter if your playing in ACB or ACR IMO.”

KiNgOfThEjEwS says, “Doesnt matter whether im playing acb or acr.”

Wabashop,

” For your offense, if you are a skilled roofer (being able to get solid quality stealthy kills on a roof, moving around on the roof in an organized free running manner) this is pure gold for you. Sometimes most players will stick together and hide in those enclosed hiding places. This makes this much easier for me, to spot out my target, and swiftly kill them from the roof. This only applies to ACB, and yes it matters a lot. Due to ACBs detection meter, stealthy kills from the roof were more doable, where as in ACR.. the Reverse Detection Meter really slows that down, climbing up a roof can drain your meter significantly. So this is where I take the ground approach because with the RDM, the ground approach gives you a better chance of getting quality kills.
As for defense, and this applies to both ACB & ACR. These spots for defense are absolutely terrible because you are bound to get roofed. Even if your with an organized team, one or 2 players will get roofed.. Everyone always goes on the roofs at those parts. Thats why I like to defend and hide in wide open places, with no chance of getting roofed. The Marketplace and the Pantheon. “

april2011,

“I think Rome is equal for both sides, but the extra team bonuses of ACR make the scoring better. I prefer any mode in ACR to any mode in ACB, ACR is more team oriented.”

Manhunt

1. Do you feel gameplay in Manhunt ACR is an improvement from ACB or worse?

LJS1678“I do especially when playing defense, i have trouble using both of my abilities especially when playing defense in ACB, but its easier IMO to lock on to a target in ACR. so i would say yes.”

KiNgOfThEjEwS“There are things about acr that is better than acb however after evaluating everything together as a whole acr is worse.”

Wabashop,

“I really want to say its an improvement, and I really believe it can be better than ACBs, but in my opinion, due to the player base.. It has gotten significantly worse. The RDM works great with this mode, I don’t use offensive smoke, and I am able to get many quality kills without it. Whenever I land many stealthy kills with the RDM in a Manhunt match, it feels very rewarding. The thing that really frustrates me is that 90% of the player base use offensive smoke in Manhunt. Manhunt especially. All 90% of those players use it because that is their only way of getting a stealthy kill. They find that smoke is the only possible way of getting quality kills under the RDM. The worst part being, is that they believe this is justified, due to the RDMs slow meter build up. This has really effected ACR. When everyone is offensive smoking, it takes out the competitive nature of the game, it no longer becomes fun. ACB had way less offensive smoking, and every MH match in ACB is very thrilling. With offensive smoke, i feel ACR manhunt is battle to see who drops smoke first. “

april2011,

“I feel the mode is the same in both but as Waba said, the players have gotten obsessed with smoke bombs.”

2. With the release of ACR “stun locking” became much harder. Does this fall in your favor or against you?

KiNgOfThEjEwS“I’m against it, because the stunning was the best satisfaction of the game.”

LJS1678“I’m not for stun locking in ACB especially when playing with less experienced players, a more experience player can take advantage of this problem.”

Wabashop,

“I absolutely love the stun locking in ACR. So much more than ACBs. It falls in great favor, it requires more team work, and more well timed uses of your defensive abilities. ACBs was just to easy, someone is stunned, then boom, he’s stunned again, no chance of defense. From a logical standpoint, that never really made sense to me, but with ACR, the stunned pursuer has a huge advantage if you just stand over him. But with a smoke bomb, mute or tripwire bomb along with more teammates doing the same, you got yourself a legit stun lock. It feels much more rewarding to stun lock in ACR. Stuns count towards your streaks in ACR, so the ACB stun locking system would be way too easy.”

april2011,

“I am glad this problem was fixed in ACR as it was unfair how teams could stun lock. It is more of an even playing field now with ACR and still great rewards for stunning. Of course there is still the issue of the “stunning glitch” but for the most part players know they have to stun and run and don’t tend to stick around.”

3. If you could add one new feature to Manhunt, either to improve the gameplay or the map what would it be?

LJS1678“Less rooftops Lol.”

KiNgOfThEjEwS“The ability to double stun like in acb.”

Wabashop,

” As for Manhunt, I believe the features and objectives are good at where there at. As for Rome, it would be insanely awesome, if you could play inside the Pantheon… If you played the single player of ACB, the inside of the pantheon is huge beautiful place, it would add so much to Manhunt and defense.. I can guarantee that almost all of the defense would take place in there. That would be so great.”

april2011,

“I think there should be some underground hiding area or passage that allows you to cut to the other part of the map.”

Tools of the Trade

1. In your opinion which ability is abused or overused in Manhunt/Rome?

LJS1678“Definitely offensive smoke bomb Lol”

KiNgOfThEjEwS“The stupid tripwire mine or worst ability ever next to that is the bodyguard.”

Wabashop,

“As I said above, offensive smoke. lol This alone has killed the mode of Manhunt. Everything is a smoke battle. Even though theres offensive smoke in mode similar to manhunt such as Chest Capture, its not that obnoxious in Chest capture because theres objectives and more going on. In Manhunt, its very direct and straight forward: hunt and hide.
In almost every match I’m in, theres always a huge brawl where and when you see 6 players just dropping smoke at once, theres no stealth, it becomes boring. Assassin’s Creed III will fix this, since smoke bomb is getting a 90 to 100 second cool down.”

Wabashop,

“The biggest and most important tip that I can not stress more to newcomers is Teamwork.. Teamwork is extremely vital to success and victories in Manhunt matches. hide in blend groups, hide yourself in enclosed areas, away from roofs. Use you’re communication in figuring out and determining where each pursuer is. On offense, stick close and hunt with you’re teammates, do not rush for kills. Remember, that this is not about the high amount. To summarize it all up, the two main important needs in Manhunt is Teamwork and Patience. “

The first gamplay video’s coming from Eurgogamer where codemasters is giving fans and press their first hands on with Grid 2. Of course they look amazing as all Codemaster games do

However i got to comment on these videos as i notice something important, we already knew the removed the cockpit view from the game what will put many more serious sim racers of but now i also notice in these videos that the handling looks kinda dull and very arcade. Codemaster race games always where more on the arcade side of things but with recent developments like Dirt showdown, F1 race stars (i played the game at Gamescom and the handling was extremly dull) i wonder if the ones looking for a more serious aproach to the racing genre must avoid the new codemaster games from now on :(

Soon everybody can assassinate in the latest chapter of the Assassin’s Creed francise as Assassin’s Creed III will release at the end of October and for the ones who are new to the series (or the AC fans who want to have everything) a nice trilogy box containing AC2, ACB and ACR will be availavle from November 13 for $39.99.

Ensure that you have all of the pertinent backstory for Assassin’s Creed III by adding the Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy to your collection on November 13 for $39.99. Offered exclusively to PlayStation 3 gamers, the Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy includes all three of Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s legendary adventures: Assassin’s Creed II with all downloadable content, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

Meet Ezio, the dashing hero of the Italian Renaissance in Assassin’s Creed II as he embarks on a quest to avenge his fallen family members and uncover a despicable plot that threatens to plunge all of Italy into chaos! Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood picks up immediately following the events of AC2, and follows Ezio as he delves deep into the heart of corruption in Rome, and rises to a position of prominence and leadership in the Brotherhood. In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Ezio has become an older, wiser leader of the Assassins… his path will lead him to exotic Constantinople in search of truth, but will he find it within the ancient homelands of the Assassins?

With Assassin’s Creed III primed to launch on October 30, follow up the biggest game of the season with a little background on another legendary Master Assassin: Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Where do you think Connor, our newest hero, learned all of his moves?
